From Black Sea Phytoplankton checklist
In Skolka V.H., Bodeanu N., 1963 mentioned that:
The species Navicula latissima var. capitata was found in 1 sample, that was taken from depth 75m S=34.88‰, T=14°С and according to T,S parameters of other depths this sample was taken from near-bottom current of Marmara Sea waters. Previously this species was unknown for the Black Sea phytoplankton.
Further the publication of Skolka V.H., Bodeanu N., 1963 was used in Ivanov A.I. 1965
